Fall Semester Orphanage Casa Hogar Adonai 2016

Chihuahua, Mexico

Without perseverance talent is not enough.

The children and the orphanage directors loved their summer classes, so after the successful pilot program they continued with a fall semester of courses.

Love knows no boundaries, it has no borders.

In December the children at the orphanage received artistic gifts made by middle school art students from Ecole Moser in Nyon, Switzerland. Three classes of students in Switzerland paired together to create and design a cover for 40 sketchbooks and included a specific drawing and message for each child that would receive their book, along with a gift of their own individual colored pencils or crayons. Students in Switzerland joined Mentor a Mentor to donate things lacking at the orphanage, such as new socks, cleaning supplies and naturally, a couple of new soccer balls! One student's parent, a local Swiss Chocolatier, designed and created special 'Dinosaur Egg' chocolates for the children, sharing a local Swiss artisanal treat and lots of love. The children at Adonai immediately set out to create a message for their Swiss friends in return, a drawing and message of thanks and love to send back to Switzerland.
