Thanks to your generosity, we have already raised $2,295 toward our $6,000 Giving Tuesday goal — and we are deeply grateful. If you haven’t had a chance to give yet, we invite you to join us in empowering young people across Latin America with opportunities in sports, art, and STEM. Your gift today helps us reach more youth who need consistent support.
Impact at a Glance
4 active Mentor a Mentor programs — 2 in Mexico and 2 in Colombia.
Around 50 children each month receive sports, art, and STEM classes and mentorship. (This number shifts as children enter and leave the orphanage in Mexico, and as families in vulnerable neighborhoods in Colombia relocate due to violence or work instability.)
Mentors stay an average of 3 years, providing stability and long-term impact.
This year marks the third year with our first-ever program director, whose leadership has helped Mentor a Mentor grow, support more mentors, and reach more youth across Latin America.
Stories of Impact
Ángel: Finding His Future in Robotics
Ángel competed in his first robotics tournament this year. What made this moment unforgettable wasn’t just his performance, but the confidence he gained. After the competition, he told us that robotics is no longer just a hobby: “I think this might be my future.”
Ángel’s family fled the crisis in Venezuela and now shares a small home in Colombia with three generations. Life has been heavy with economic uncertainty and discrimination. But these challenges have shaped his resilience—not his identity.
In our Mentor a Mentor robotics club, now in his second year, Ángel arrives early, helps younger students, and supports any teammate who feels discouraged. He is a quiet leader whose joy and determination lift everyone around him. Your support makes stories like Ángel’s possible.

Gabriel: A Mentor Who Has Inspired More Than 430 Children
Since 2016, Gabriel Navarro has faithfully taught Capoeira twice a week at Casa Hogar Adonai, an orphanage in Chihuahua, Mexico. For nine years, he has mentored more than 430 children, offering not only discipline and skill but belonging, confidence, and hope.
This year, Mentor a Mentor sponsored Gabriel’s travel to Rio de Janeiro to compete in the World Capoeira Championships—where he earned 2nd place in the world.
Though we cannot share photos or names of the children he mentors, the orphanage directors, Luis and Cecilia, tell us:
“Gabriel stays after class to listen, talk, and encourage the youth. He instills discipline with kindness and reminds them through his example that with hard work, you can achieve your dreams. He is an inspiration to the youth at the orphanage."

Daniela: A 13-Year-Old Girl Breaking Barriers in STEM
Across Latin America, more than 51 million adolescent girls face barriers to education, technology, and opportunity. Nearly half of all children under 18 live in monetary poverty. Research shows that when girls receive support before age 12, they are far more likely to avoid early pregnancy, substance use, and other high-risk situations.
Two years ago, Daniela had never used a computer. Today, at just 13, she is one of the leaders in our robotics club—programming, helping younger students, building robots, and competing in tournaments.
Watch the video below (stay until the end!) to see Daniela score a goal in her robotics competition—a small moment that represents enormous growth.
A Message From Our Mentors and Program Director
This Giving Tuesday season we are seeking minimum five monthly partners to support Gabriel, Juan, Carlos, Adrián, or Cara at $50 per month, to support our mentor programs in 2026.
Below are photos and messages from each of our incredible mentors and program director.

Help Us Reach Our $6,000 Goal
Thanks to the support of our community, we have already raised $2,295 toward our $6,000 goal. And with a $3,000 match, every gift this Giving Tuesday goes twice as far.
Thank you for standing with us through your prayers, encouragement, and support. With your help, we are not only sharing life-changing skills through sports and STEM, but also sharing God’s love through mentoring and the relationships we build with each student. A gift of any size makes a difference.
